Mrs. Margaret Ann Cox Link, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at her home. She was born to the late Russell Cox and Hazel Shutt Cox on January 21, 1943, in Forsyth County. Margaret was a fierce and sassy woman. She was known to have never met a stranger and always stayed full of life. Margaret had a deep passion for her gardening though she especially enjoyed her flowers. In her free time, you could always find her watching John Wayne movies or decorating with her roosters. Margaret loved to spend time with her son, Rusty, and would often show her love with a hot meal. Rusty and all who loved her will forever cherish the unforgettable memories that she left behind. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reid Link; and brothers, Jerry Cox, Kenneth Cox, and Sammy Cox. She was survived by her loving son, Russell Link; granddaughter, Ebony Gardner; great-granddaughter, Pilar Gardner; niece, Caroline Cox-Marrs; special cousin, Martha Church; special friends, Reggie, Dawn, and Sherri; and numerous other extended family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Reedy Creek Church of Christ Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in honor of Margaret to the Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
