Mrs. Margaret Ellen Fulp Honeycutt, 70, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 22, 1938 in Forsyth County to Julius Frank and Grace Thompson Fulp. Mrs. Honeycutt was a member of Advent Moravian Church, the Home Extension Club and Ladies Auxiliary of Griffith Fire Department. She was the facilitator for operation Santa Claus through the Forsyth County Mental Health Association. Mrs. Honeycutt enjoyed watching cooking shows, traveling, and ceramics. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and daughter. Preceding her in death was her father, Julius Frank Fulp; great-granddaughter, Keiana Slack, and an adopted son, Jeffery Nowlin. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Eric Honeycutt; two daughters, Lynn Slack (Tim) and Terri Honeycutt; four grandchildren, Anthony Rickmon (Ashley), Jessica Slack, Janet Slack, and Stephen Rickmon; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Austin Rickmon; mother, Grace Fulp; brother, Charlie Fulp (Carolyn); also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins; three special friends, Virginia Reese, Betty Snyder, Betty Berry, and Ruby Hawks. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Dan Conrad and Rev. Arlan Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Advent Moravian Church, 1514 W. Clemmonsville Rd.
