Mrs. Margaret Pauline Hutchens Hollar, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Yadkin Co. on November 28, 1932 to the late Ray M. Hutchens Sr. and Blanche Davis Hutchens. Mrs. Hollar was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church in Winston-Salem and retired from Hanes/Sara Lee with 43 years of service. She will be best remembered for her loving and giving nature and her appreciation of life, nature and of all things, even the smallest. Her fondest memories were of the many travels with her late husband Clyde who preceded her in death in 2002. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Cedric R. Hutchens, Martin E. Hutchens and unnamed twins and two sisters, Virginia H. Collins and Doris H. Collins. Mrs. Hollar is survived by a daughter, Terri L. Hollar, a son, David B. Hollar, four grandchildren, Byron W. Craven (Dawn), Robert F. Craven (Vickie), Courtney J. Combs and Alexandria H. Combs, two great grandchildren, Jonathan W. Craven and Joshua C. Craven; three sisters, Thelma G. Baity (Charles), Pearl H. Howell and Dorothy H. Howell and two brothers, Donald H. Hutchens (Louise) and R.M. Hutchens Jr. (Stella), and many cousins. Mrs. Hollar also shared the love of Courtney and Alexandria's pets Paco and Tarzan. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with Rev. David Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. this evening Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to; Crestwood Baptist Church General Fund or Veterans Memorial/Prayer Garden, 530 Motor Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
