Margaret Christy Johnston Herbst

HERBST- Margaret Christy Johnston Herbst, 87, of Winston Salem passed away August 11, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 11, 1921 in Dundee, Scotland, daughter of the late Victor M. Johnston and the late Jessie Johnston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Herbst and a sister, Jessie Gordon. Mrs. Herbst is survived by her children, Christine Watson and husband, Len of England; Roy Herbst and wife, Karen of New Jersey; Nancy Miller and husband, Jim of Ohio; and Janet Temas and husband, Dr. Greg Temas of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Amy Temas, Kevin Herbst, Brad Miller, Brian Temas, Daniel Temas, Lisa Miller, and Jenny Temas. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm, Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Earl Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00pm before the service.
