Margaret Marie Hill Foltz, 73, of Clemmons, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 7:45 a.m. at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 11, 1939 in Asheville, NC to the late Charles Jordan Hill and Mary Isabel Pearson Hill. With her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Master Sergeant Charles John Hill USAF and sister-in-law, Maureen Hill. She was nicknamed ""Tootie"" at 3 years old by her Aunt Margaret and was known forever after by her family and friends. She attended Lee Edwards High School in Asheville and after graduation she attended and graduated from the Women's College of Greensboro. She began her working career at Wake Forest University, then onto Wachovia Bank. While working at Wachovia, a co-worker, Rose Boles along with her husband, John Boles introduced her to her beloved husband, Willis Hege Foltz. They met on a blind date and were happily married 52 years. Surviving are her husband, ""Bill""; her two daughters, Carrie Foltz West and son-in-law, Norman D. West Jr.; two grandsons, Jordan D. West and Garrett T. West; daughter, Julia Pearson Foltz and her fiancé, T. Christopher Hedgecock, all of Winston-Salem. Margaret was a faithful and devoted member of Friedberg Moravian Church. She was active in the Women's Fellowship, served on the Board of Elders, served as church secretary, was a faithful diener, and member of the Moravian Band for over 30 years. Margaret, along with her husband, successfully operated Piedmont Fence Inc. for over 20 years. She is survived by many family members and friends including her nephew, Colonel Charles W. Hill USAF and his wife Kellie A. Hill; her great nephew, Cadet Third Class Charles T. Hill US Air Force Academy of Scott AFB, Illinois; her niece, Raelynn H. Nimmo and husband Jeff Nimmo; great niece, Morgan Nimmo; and great nephew, Christopher Nimmo of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22 at Friedberg Moravian Church with the Rev. G. Thomas Shelton, the Rev. James C. Newsome, and the Rev. Norwood Green officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be considered for the Friedberg Moravian Church Elevator Fund, 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
