Margaret Berry

Kernersville – Margaret Bailey Berry, 91, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at her home. She was born on July 20, 1927 in Burke County to the late Robert and Elizabeth Bailey. She was a retiree of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Berry, in 1992; and granddaughter, Michelle Berry Randolph, in 2018.

Margaret was the last surviving sibling of four brothers: Manuel, Roy, R.C., and Harve; and one sister, Bessie.

She is survived by her son, Mike Berry (Barbara); her daughter, Debbie  Tilley (Reid); three grandchildren: Dana Chapman (Josh), Cary Thompson (Stephen), and Michael Berry Kirk (Nathan); six great grandchildren: Jordan Flynn, Kobe Randolph, Piper and Tucker Chapman, Deter and Otto Thompson; her brother-in-law, Tom Carswell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel, followed by a Celebration Service at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home led by Rev. Christa Warise. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
