Margaret "Baba" Dawkins

Margaret K. ""Baba"" Dawkins passed away at Forsyth Memorial Hospital on May 20, 2015 at the age of 86.

Marge is predeceased by her mother and father, John and Anna Koslap of Hazelton, PA, her sister, Anna and husband Andy Malavich, her sister Mary and husband Michael Pcolinsky and her brother Michael who is survived by his wife Margie Koslap.

Marge is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James Ray Dawkins. They were married in Hazelton, PA on February 20, 1954 and have been each other's constant companion ever since.
Baba, as her grandkids lovingly call her, is remembered by her children, daughter Jo Dawkins of Charlotte, NC, son Michael and his wife Jill of Johns Creek, Georgia, and daughter Janet and her husband Keith Wilkins of Cornelius, NC. She is also blessed with three grandchildren, Bailey Ray Dawkins, son of Michael and Jill, Jordan Ray and Justin Cooper Wilkins, sons of Janet and Keith.

Marge was a woman of little fanfare and requested even less in her death. She leaves us with the memories of a woman who never drove a day in her life, but had a license and an entire neighborhood willing to drive for her. A woman who's organizational and memory skills would rival a computer. A woman who had a direct link to St. Anthony whenever something was lost….she could make it found. One who loved reading, sports, her grandson's sporting events, her faith, family and good friends, but most of all, her husband. Marge and Jim were our salt and pepper - you never saw one without the other.

The funeral mass will be held at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 335 Springdale Avenue in Winston-Salem, NC on Wednesday morning, May 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will follow the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations made to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church where Marge was an active member of the Saint Theresa Guild.
