Mrs. Margaret Rachel Swartz Baggott, 86, of Winston-Salem died Friday, October 8, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 14, 1924 in FL, the daughter of the late, Charles Ruddick and Anna Laubach Swartz. After graduation from Stetson University in DeLand, FL, she married William Duncan Baggott. They moved to Winston-Salem in the 1940's where they raised their four children, Marie, Billie, Allen and Fred. She and her husband operated Baggott Insurance Agency for over 50 years. Mrs. Baggott was a member of First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem where she was a member of the Singing Seniors and taught Sunday School and Training Union. She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Alice Mae Hunter. In addition to her four children she is survived by seven grandchildren and two brothers, Charles and Frank Swartz. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons. Her children would like to thank her for loving us, believing in us, teaching us timeless values and constantly encouraging us.
