Mareen Ham Weavil

WINSTON-SALEM - Mareen Ham Weavil, 78, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Grace Healthcare. She was born November 6, 1930 in Lansing, NC to the late Roscoe and Sadie Thompson Ham. Mareen was a member of Sedge Garden United Methodist Church and retired from Fairchild Industries after many years of service. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Marion Weavil. Surviving are three sons, Randy Weavil and wife Sandy, Rodney Weavil and wife Ginger, and Joey Weavil; one daughter, Angie Waugh and husband John all of Kernersville; seven grandchildren, Zac Weavil, Hannah Weavil, Lauren Waugh, Katie Waugh, Miranda Weavil, Haley Weavil, and Hunter Weavil all of Kernersville; two sisters, Betty Iverson and Mabel Ham. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Sedge Garden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ellis Rouse and the Rev. Phil Bauguess officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Sedge Garden United Methodist Church, 794 Sedge Garden Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284. Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville is in charge of services.
