Marcus Dorian Flynt

Mr. Marcus Dorian Flynt, 76, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024. He was born September 13, 1947, in Forsyth County to the late Trossy William Flynt and Frankie Estel Baker Flynt. In his free time, Marcus enjoyed hiking looking for NC wild azaleas, fishing, working on classic cars, learning about civil war history, and working with his duck decoys. Also, he enjoyed traveling on beach trips and watching sailboats. Marcus was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a jack of all trades; he was known for being a watercolor artist and chef. His favorite drink was Cheerwine.  Marcus touched so many lives, even people he just met. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Miller Flynt; three daughters, Holly Flynt (Mike Mah), April Brincefield (Joel), Hannah Stothart (Alec); 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-grandchild on the way. In addition, he is survived by his two brothers, Ricky Flynt (Sonja) and Gary Flynt (BJ); a niece, Tammy Johnson (Rodney); and nephew, Kevin Flynt (Jess). A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Mountain View Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry King and Bro. Jimmy Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Mountain View Baptist Church in King, NC.
