Marcella Loeffler

Marcella C. Loeffler (née Metz) age 86, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 after a long illness. Beloved wife of William Loeffler for 64 years; devoted mother of Linda (Frank) Valentino, Laurie Anne (deceased) and John (Beatriz); loving grandmother of Jessica (Adam) Artman, Steven (Cassy) Valentino, Erica (Kim) Valentino, Gabe and Logan; proud great grandmother of Isla, Noa, Arlo, Benny and Carter. Marcy was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Katherine (née Morris) Metz, siblings Edmund “Junior” Metz, Norbert (Christine) Metz, Ruth (Ted) Ferencie, Thomas Martin. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Martin.

Born and raised in Bedford, OH, she graduated from Bedford High (Class of 1954). Marcy raised her family in Bedford Hts., OH. She was a very active member of Holy Trinity Parish and enjoyed camping and traveling with friends. After her children were grown, Marcy pursued a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at MetroHealth Sunny Acres Skilled Nursing facility. She and Bill eventually retired to Winston Salem, NC where they have been living for the past 25 years.

Marcy will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, love of baking, skill of crafting and endless love of family.

Friends will be received Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Johnson-Romito Funeral Home, 521 Broadway Ave, Bedford, OH 44146 where prayers will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 AM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 340 Union St., Bedford, OH 44146.
