Manuel Worley Edmison

Kernersville - Mr. Manuel Worley Edmison, 81, passed away April 9, 2017 at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born in Elizabethton, Tenn. on March 17, 1936 to the late Worley Manuel and Evelyn Davenport Edmison. Mr. Edmison was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. He loved his family, traveling and fishing. He loved a good joke, he loved to have fun, and he never met a stranger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Edmison.
Surviving are; his loving wife of 62 years, Lois Holder Edmison, a daughter, Lisa Jenkins and husband Tim, a son, Anthony Edmison; two grandchildren, Brittany Moss and Joshua Jenkins; two great grandchildren; Avery and Hudson Moss; a brother, Wade Edmondson, and a special sister and brother in law, Ronda ""Cotton"" and Shirley Richardson, and many other special family members.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Pastor Jay Boyce officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Oaklawn Baptist Church Building Fund at 3500 Kernersville Rd.
