Mamie Louise Holder Shelton

Mrs. Mamie Louise Holder Shelton, 92, of Kernersville, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009. She was born November 19, 1916 in Dobson, NC to Edward P. and Lula Mabe Holder. Mrs. Shelton was a member of Ardmore Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Shelton. Surviving are a grandson, Donnie Wood of Kernersville; one great grandson, Carl Wayne; one stepson, Tommy Shelton of Georgia; one stepdaughter, Teresa Cook of Newport News, VA; one stepgranddaughter, Rhonda Yarbrough; three stepgrandsons, Roger Wainright, Robbie Wainwright and Tommy Shelton, Jr. and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Bill Ireland officiating. Burial will follow in Whitaker Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery in Pilot Mtn.. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
