Mamie Angeline Rhodes Ritchey

Mrs. Mamie Angeline Rhodes Ritchey, 98, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at her home. She was born February 19, 1919 in Wilkes County to the late Amanda Jane Watkins Rhodes and Joseph Rhodes. Mrs. Ritchey was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Rural Hall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ritchey was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Swain Ritchey and one daughter, Nancy Thompson. She is survived by five children: Martha Anders (Roy), Linda Waller, Wayne H. Creasman, Forrest Ritchey (Betty), and Daryl Ritchey (Aletha); nineteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Jon White officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
