Mr. Malvern Dawson Moseley, Jr., 95, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Trellis Supportive Care.
Malvern was born on August 28, 1925 in Richmond, VA to Malvern Dawson Moseley, Sr. and Isabelle Brent Moseley. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1943 – 1946. After his discharge from the Navy he worked for 40+ years at Chevrolet dealerships in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, retiring from Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg, MD as Service Manager in 1989. Belonging to the Boy Scout as a child, Malvern served as a Scout Leader as an adult, serving as Assistant Scout Master and Scout Master. He also enjoyed volunteering, and was involved with his local VFW, Elks Club, and Lions Club. In 1989, he and Jean retired to Garrett County, MD and lived there until 2016 when he and Jean moved to NC to live to his son and his wife. In addition to his parents, Malvern was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Roberson.
Malvern is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Jean Pitts Moseley; son, Glenn Moseley and wife Libby; grandchildren, Kyle Roberson, Lacey Roberson, Matthew Moseley, Gregory Moseley, and Sarah Moseley.
A celebration of Malvern’s life will be held at a later date.
