Malcolm Minton

Mr. Malcolm Wayne “Sonny” Minton, 76, of Winston-Salem, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on Saturday, September 4, 2021.  Sonny was born in Roanoke, Virginia on November 18, 1944.  He proudly served in the United States Navy.  Sonny was the owner and operator of Minton Motor Cars I & II.  He will be greatly missed.

Sonny is survived by his daughter, Stacy Minton Smith (James Goulding, Jr.); five grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Victor Smith, Joshua Goulding, Jenna Goulding, and Corporal Sierra Payne of the US Marine Corp; and one great grandchild, Izabella; numerous other loving relatives; and his beloved special friend of 30 years, Miss Barbara Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 10, 2021, at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Michael Greer officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Mr. Minton.
