Madonna Jeanne Conti Stewart

Mrs. Madonna Jeanne Conti Stewart, age 63, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC after an extended lung problem and is now with the Lord. She was born March 14, 1952 in Hammond, Louisiana, the daughter of the late John and Frances Costanza Conti. She was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem and will be greatly missed by her church family and her family, friends and caretakers. She will be remembered for her love of people, especially special needs children. She worked most of her life as a teacher's assistant at Midway Elementary School in Davidson County. She had special gifts of encouragement and patience. She also loved arts, crafts and sewing. She is survived by her husband, Don and children, Monica and Matthew. She has two nephews in Louisiana, Patrick and Brant. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM at Oak Forest United Methodist Church with Pastor Darren Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel and one hour prior to the service at the church.
