Madeline Louise Bledsoe Greer

Mrs. Madeline Louise Bledsoe Greer, 92, passed away March 27, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 22, 1925 in Watauga County to the late Horton Bledsoe and Dora Houck Bledsoe. Madeline was an avid Tarheel fan, ""Go Tarheels"". Best of all, she was a loving mother who always put her family first. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh S. Greer; one son, H Dean Greer. She is survived by five children, Sandy Stomean, Terry Greer (Teeny), Thim Greer, Susan Harrison (Roger), Sally Brown (David); nine grandchildren, Kim, Lonnie, Dusty, Shawn, Jodi, Toni, Amy, Lauren, Hannah; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great- grandchild; one sister, Carolyn Miller, and two daughters-in-love, Barbara Merrell, Deana Green. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel Rural Hall with Rev. Wesley Mcleod officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 PM, prior to the service.
