Mr. Mack Lee Kiser, age 87 of Rural Hall passed away Saturday, October 10, 2014 at his home in Rural Hall. Mr. Kiser was born November 18, 1926 in Stokes County to William Maderias Kiser and Verda Mae Ore Kiser. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, retired from R.J. Reynolds with 38 years of service, a United States Army veteran having served during World War II, a member of the American Legion Post 290 of King, a member of the Associated Artists Inc. and a member of the Rural Hall Historical Society. In addition to his parents Mr. Kiser was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Kiser, one daughter, Sharon Lynn Kiser and one brother, Porter Kiser.
Mr. Kiser is survived by his son, Steve Kiser of Rural Hall. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel by Dr. Brad Stamey and Rev. Brian Alverson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. Military burial honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 290 of King.
