Mable Banner

Mrs. Mable Ann Martin Banner, 92, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on September 15, 1925 the daughter of Clarence and Lula Martin. Mrs. Banner has been a member of Germanton Baptist Church for 70 years and was active as long as her health permitted. She retired from Sara Lee and loved baking and cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Banner; and three brothers, Ralph Martin, Ray Martin and Nelson Martin. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Ned Banner; two sons, Barry Banner (Beverly) of Winston-Salem and Keith Banner (Sandra) of Rural Hall; two granddaughters, Amanda Hoots (J.D.) of Rural Hall and Kayla Berry (Nick) of Winston-Salem; three great-grandchildren, Lilly, Will and Carter and a sister, Frances Golightly (Elbert) of Morganton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 at Germanton Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Lattimore officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church.
