Mabel Darnell Coe

WINSTON SALEM -Mabel Darnell Coe, 84, died Monday, February 14, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 7, 1927 in Forsyth Co. to the late Harvey Joseph and Ruby Willard Darnell. Mabel was of the Baptist faith. She had been employed with Hanes Brands, Inc. formerly Adams Millis for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Moss; two sisters, Edith Speas, Margaret Eanes; and one brother, Harvey Darnell. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara C. Halnan of Winston Salem; two sons, John Samuel Coe of Tallahassee, FL, and James Lloyd Coe, Sr. of Winston Salem; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Darnell of Fayetteville, Dallas Darnell of Wilmington; and one sister, Wilma Underwood of Wilmington. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery.
