Mabel Billings (Triplette)

Mrs. Mabel Wiles Billings (Triplette), 101, of Clemmons, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. She was born in 1920 in Wilkes County to Wilbur Wiles and Janie Privette Wiles. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Waldo Billings and Bill Triplette and two children, Wanda Weavil and Tony Billings. Surviving are her daughter, Virginia Dare Billings Bullard Burchette and son-in-law, James Burchette; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Bullard Xenakis, Sherry Bullard Leonard, Shannon Weavil, Jennifer Weavil, Tonia Atkins Tolbert; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She worked at Western Electric for 32 years and loved gardening, canning, cooking, sewing. She loved spending time with all her family members. She drove her car until she was 97 years old and will be remembered by her humor, great cooking and being very giving to her children and grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Forsyth Memorial Park.
