Mabel Peoples Beam

KERNERSVILLE - Mabel Peoples Beam, 82, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 22, 1926 in Forsyth Co. Mrs. Beam was employed by Hooker Furniture for 24 years, then worked for Angela's Grill and Pub for 5 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Raymond Beam and a daughter, Brenda Hamlin. Surviving are three daughters, Frankie Beam, Sylvia Stroud, and Peggy Murphy all of Kernersville; three grandchildren, Charlie Murphy, Jr., Angela Mays, and Melissa Murphy all of Kernersville; four great-grandchildren, Amanda and Teresa Murphy, Molly and Nicole Mays and many loving friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm Friday, October 17, 2008 at the funeral home.
