M. B. Branch

Winston-Salem- Mr. M. B. Branch, 79, passed away October 10, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late Matthew Branch and Collie Mae Stewart Branch. He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Clint Branch, Coland Branch, and Wade Branch. Mr. Branch was a member of Sprague Street Baptist Church and was employed at Butler Shoe Store for 37 years, and subsequently was owner of B & B Shoes for 10 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Libby Branch; his children, Dian Branch, Mike Branch (Susan), David Branch, Bobby Branch (Joyce), and Bonnie Hill (Tommy); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Cordelia Westmoreland; three brothers, Lawrence Branch (Nancy), Roland Branch (Ann), and Wayne Branch (Beverly). A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, October 14, 2011 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Chris Byrne officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Crisis Control Ministry, 200 East Tenth St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
