Lynn Foster Vitz

OAK RIDGE-Lynn Foster Vitz, 61, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014. She was born January 3, 1953 in Forsyth Co. to the late Richard Roscoe and Claire Long Foster.

Lynn was employed with PepsiCo Foodservice for 32 years.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Francis Ronald Vitz of the home; Ron's children whom she loves dearly, Ronald E. Vitz, Lisa Bergstrom (Tom), and Denise Famageltto (Mike); eight grandchildren, Austin and Hannah Vitz, Tony, Mike and Bob Bergstrom, Mike, Arianna and Nick Famageltto all of Cleveland, OH; sister, Jeanne Foster of Kernersville; brothers, Thomas F. Foster (Ellen) of High Point and R. Stephen Foster (Tiffanie) of Huntersville; nieces and nephews, Jay Jones (Lori), Ryan Reynolds, Hannah and Kaitlyn Jones, Cameron (Chad Deese), Kathryn, Kelsey and Taylor Foster; a great-niece, Christa Jones; great-nephews, Joshua Jones and Trystan Deese; dear friends, Patty Jessup and the Jason Chase and Rob Bolling families; and her precious Bichon Frise', Ollie who gave her much love, joy and laughter.

A Celebration of her life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 02, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:00-9:45 Saturday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

The family wishes to thank Brenda Hildebran (Kernersville Medical Center Radiology) and the staff of Winston Salem Oncology for their care of Lynn during her illness.


Lynn would want to be remembered for her passion for people, her desire to make life better for others, her belief in random acts of kindness and her love for the diversity of life.
