Lydia Lynch

Lydia Sue Carter Lynch, 90, of Winston-Salem left for her forever home on Monday August 13, 2018. She was born in Davie County on January 30, 1928 and retired from AT&T and was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.

From her daughter, Gilda Lynch-King:

Mom was always filled with laughter & love, living to give to others & offering a helping hand & most importantly her heart. What a wonderful, beautiful, strong, faith filled woman she was.
After Mike, her son & I were "replaced" by her 2 grandsons, Chad Lynch & Todd Lynch (wife Jaime), her affection shifted to her 3 great grandchildren, Eva & Davis Lynch (Todd) & most recently Connor Lynch (Chad).

She was a loving wife to Fred Davis Lynch who went on to heaven before her on October 9, 2015. Also preceding her in death was her mother & father, Sallie Bett Baily Carter & Abe Carter; sisters, Ruth Brigman & Tip Koontz and brother Alvin Carter. Surviving are 3 sisters, Christine Miller, Cleo Bertini & Frankie Everhart, 1 sister-in-law Jannie Carter and 2 brothers-in-law, Jim and Frank Lynch. There were also numerous nieces, nephews, friends & caregivers that she loved dearly.

Oh wait, she wouldn't want me to forget her most favorite son-in-law Chuck King (her Chuckaboo & his Mama Sue) and her most favorite daughter-in-law Virginia Lynch. She loved to tell everyone they were her favorites, followed by laughter, as they were her only son-in-law & daughter-in-law.

Thank you to each & every one of you who has supported her & cared for her during the past 7 years since her stroke.

And a huge thank you for our very, very special Angel, Gena Hardy who cared for her every need from her morning devotional to bedtime prayers, so much love & laughter, "Rodney" pancakes and everything in between. The two of them shared a love that goes beyond our imagination. Thank you Gena, thank you for all you did for her & all the love you gave her.
And I don't want to forget Lisa Haley who along with Gena was by her side until she departed this world and Lori White who was with Mom for 6 years & is now with her again in Heaven.
She loved each & every one of you and will be waiting to see you again at her heavenly home.
