Mrs. Lydia Bell Holcomb Hauser, 89, passed away July 4, 2021. She was born November 5, 1931, in Forsyth County to the late Cletus Ray Holcomb and Pansy Louella Moser Holcomb. She retired from Sara Lee with 35 years of service. After retirement, she went to work for JC Penny’s for an additional 13 years. She was a member of Walkertown Baptist Church for several years and later attended Center Grove Baptist Church. During her careers and after, she enjoyed traveling. Lydia visited 45 states including Alaska and Hawaii. She went to Europe 4 times and traveled 14 countries. Lydia lived for children, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hauser, a very special daughter-in-law, Kelli Hauser. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Ray Hauser and wife Tammy, and Mark William Hauser; three grandchildren, Riley Hauser, Nolan Hauser, and Zach Wall; one sister, Nellie H. Collins, and one nephew, Phillip Collins. A funeral service will be conducted 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Ron Schuyler Officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A private committal for the family will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at Crestview Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Gates officiating. As Lydia would say, “Remember me with smiles and laughter, because that’s how I’ll remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then do not think of me at all.
