Mrs. Lydia Fay Legains Gilbert, 66, of Kernersville died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 20, 1946 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Emmett and Flossie Ramson Legains. Mrs. Gilbert was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church and the Out of Sight Blind Support Group. She was a graduate of West Forsyth High School and was a Registered Nurse at Medical Park Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Ashley Miller and her sister, Lois Paggett. Survivors include two sons, Arlie Goforth and wife, Melissa of Winston-Salem and Eric Goforth and wife, Missy of North Wilkesboro; one daughter, Shari Miller and husband, Wendell Duggins of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Jacob Miller and fiancée, KateLyn Hughes of Clemmons, Daylon Duggins and Devin Duggins of Kernersville, and Steven Goforth, Amber Goforth and Daniel Goforth of Winston-Salem; one brother, Paul Collier of Mocksville; one nephew, James (J. L.) Paggett of Harmony and her former son-in-law, Eric Miller of Winston-Salem. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 PM at New Life Assembly of God Church, Winston-Salem with Pastor Beechard Moorefield officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
