Mrs. Lydia Doub Brinker, 51, passed away on March 16, 2017.

Lydia was born in Forsyth County on June 25, 1965, to Roy S. and Velna Hall Doub. She was a school teacher for the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System. Lydia loved spending time with family and friends, teaching and giving daily hugs to her students, exercising, and outdoor activities. She was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir. Church was an important part of Lydia's life, and she loved being a mother. Lydia brought love, joy and humor to all she met.

In addition to her parents, Lydia is survived by her husband Jeffrey and son William ""Will"" of the home; one brother Avalon Doub and his wife Michelle; her namesake, Lydia H. Garland of Mt. Airy and her husband Gene; Uncle William E. Hall, Uncle David A. Hall, Aunt Sarah D. Penry, Uncle Edward E. Doub and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Lydia was preceded by her maternal grandparents Avalon E. and Alta J. Hall and paternal grandparents Arzie A. and Fannie S. Doub.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 S. Hawthorne Rd. Winston-Salem, NC. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Winston-Salem Foundation, designated for the ""Lydia Brinker Education Fund for At Risk Youth"",751 W. Fourth Street, Suite 200, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
