Mrs. Lula Mae Quesinberry Noah, 78, of Winston-Salem went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 14, 2010 after an extended illness. She was born June 3, 1932 in Mt. Airy, the daughter of the late Herly and Alice Horton Quesinberry. Mrs. Noah was a graduate of Mt. Airy High School and attended Draughons Business College and Salem Community Bible College. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church and sang with The King's Messengers in the 1970's. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jo Hodges and a brother, George Quesinberry. Survivors include her husband, James Thomas ""Tommy"" Noah, Sr. of the home; one son, Kedar Hodges and wife, Paula of Central, SC; one daughter, Sonta Harmon and husband, Craig of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Brian Hodges and wife, Andrea of Wilmington, Robin Hodges Perry and husband, Jonathan of Aiken, SC and Brandon Cameron of Winston-Salem; one great granddaughter, Meredith Renae Perry of Aiken, SC; three step children, Jo Anne Turner and Sandra Rothrock of Winston-Salem and James Thomas ""Jimmy"" Noah, Jr. of Lancaster, SC; two step grandchildren, Dennis Bowles, Jr. and Wibby Rothrock of Winston-Salem and eight Bowles step great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jan Hummel for the care given to Mrs. Noah.
