Ludy Mizell Strother

KERNERSVILLE - Ludy M. Strother, 63, passed away Friday, August 02, 2013 at her home. She was born in Virginia Beach, VA to the late Luther Sam and Violet Rae Mizell. Ludy was an active member of the Kernersville Seventh Day Adventist Church. She graduated from Baptist Hospital with a BSN, and founded and led United Anesthesia, a CRNA Placement agency for 33 years. Ludy was a member and enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy Wilson; and one brother, Luther Sam Mizell, Jr. Surviving are her children, Tracy Strother-Mayer and husband, James Mayer of Belews Creek, Brad Strother and wife, Amber of Kernersville; grandchildren, Madeline, Jacqueline, Katherine Mayer and Ezekiel Strother; sisters, Nancy Kerns, Linda Mizell, and Connie Hudson; brothers, Marty and Tony Mizell. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Kernersville Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Don Davis officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to charity of choice.
