Lucy Mae Willett

Mrs. Lucy Mae Wimbish Willett, 100, died on April 2, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Lucy was born on March 4, 1916 to the late Ollie May and Edwin Deshazo Wimbish. She was a member of Ardmore Moravian Church. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Camillus Willett; three brothers, Edwin Wimbish, Johnny Wimbish, and James Wimbish; and three sisters, Lucille Loyd, Helen Burchette, and Dorothy Stafford. Surviving are one brother, Lewis Wimbish (wife Blanche) and several nieces and nephews, Shelby Griffin (husband Stan), Bobby Loyd (wife Sandy), Becky McGee (husband Frank), Paul Stafford (wife Marge), Bonnie Adams, Terry Abernathy (husband Mike), and Lucy Dawn (husband Keith Smith). The family would like to extend a special thanks to the palliative care staff at Forsyth Medical Center and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the exceptional care Lucy received. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Salem Cemetery with Reverend Arkon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
