Lewisville - Mrs. Lucy Maybelle Campbell Vanhoy, 80, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 8, 1932 in Forsyth Co. to the late Isaac Lafayette and Lucy Ketner Campbell. Mrs. Vanhoy was a member of Ketner's Church of Christ, and retired from Sara Lee Corporation after 21 years of service. She was a gardening enthusiast who loved puzzles of all kinds and baking. She was well known for her Salmon Patties, pies and cakes, as well as her dry sense of humor. Lucy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed frequent trips to the Outer Banks with her family. Health permitting she enjoyed daily lunches with her sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Helen C. Lawson three brothers, I.L. ""Butch"" Campbell, James ""Ped"" Campbell and Edgar Gray Campbell; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Vanhoy. Surviving are; her husband, Johnnie Clayton Vanhoy, Sr. two sons, Johnnie C. Vanhoy Jr.( Darlene), Gary Steven Vanhoy ( Luann), two daughters, Sylvia ""Sue"" Vanhoy and Teresa Bliss( Adam) , five grandchildren, Jason, Kevin, Emily, and Katie Vanhoy, three sisters, Peggy Levens, Jean Stone, Lilly Sloan, and a brother, Bill Campbell (Sue). A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, January 13, 2013 with Bro. James Percival and Bro. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Kate b.
