Mrs. Lucy Beamer Sweet, 77, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born November 19, 1938 in Surry County to the late Jacob and Ada Hodge Beamer. Mrs. Sweet was a member of St. Peter's World Outreach Center where she served as a Deaconess, Cell Leader, Affinity Group Leader, and in many other capacities within the church. She worked as a Senior Mail Analyst for Nagle and Associates. Her greatest pleasure was to feed her family and the community. Preceding her in death was a son, Robin Stanley; three sisters and two brothers. Surviving is her husband of 35 years, Harry L. Sweet; five children, Alfred Stanley (Vicky) of Pfafftown, Craig Stanley (Shelia) of Pfafftown, Scott Stanley (Jenea) of Clemmons, James Sweet (Dorothy) of Pfafftown, and Karen Flowers (William) of Winston-Salem; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Stanley of Tobaccoville; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at St. Peter's World Outreach Center with Bishop J.C. Hash officiating. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. The family would like to thank Carl and Daniell Nagle for their love and support.
