Lucinda Hutchens Hauser

Lucinda (Cindy) Caroline Hutchens Hauser, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 21, 1924 in Yadkin County to Charlie and Vicie Hutchens. Cindy lived most of her life in Hanes Town, NC. She has lived in Gordon Manor development the past 21 years. She retired from Western Electric in 1978. Mrs. Hauser was a member of Freeman Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and spending time with her family. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Allen Hauser; mother and father; three sisters, Margaret Hutchens, Mary Hutchens, and Adeline Dobbins; and five brothers, Ray Hutchens, Luther (Luke) Hutchens, Robert (Andrew) Hutchens, Roy Hutchens, and Paul Hutchens. Surviving are her three children, Wayne Hauser and wife Dolly, Charles Hauser and wife Martha, Tammy Pruitt and husband Charles; four grandchildren, Caroline Anderson and husband Mark, Allen Hauser and wife Josephine, Tyler Pruitt, and Brittany Pruitt; three great grandchildren, Jackson Hauser, Nathaniel Hauser, and Leland Anderson; one sister, Helen and husband James Dinkins; and one brother, Sherrill and wife Opal Hutchens. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that were dear to her heart. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 13 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Bob Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 12 from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
