Lucille Royall

Mrs. Lucille Whitley Royall, 91, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born on March 18, 1931, in Davidson Co. the daughter of the late William McKinley Whitley and Ollie Beeson Whitley. She was a longtime member of Jefferson Christian Church and she had retired from Hanes Knitting. She also worked at FoodFair for several years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert William Royall, Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Martin (Ronnie) and Carol Dorn (Jeff); and three sons, Michael Royall (Linda), Hubert Royall, Jr. (Teresa) and Timothy Royall (Alisa). Mrs. Royall is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Jefferson Christian Church, 8200 Jefferson Church Rd, Rural Hall NC, 27045, with Pastor Steve Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Wednesday evening, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Randy Kiger (who she loved as her own) for all the loving care shown to Lucille throughout the years.
