Mrs. Lucille Stonestreet Kimball, 94, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at The Oaks at Forsyth. She was born December 27, 1915 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late Arthur Cleveland and Margaret Dwiggins Stonestreet. Mrs. Kimball was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was an enthusiastic flower lover and gardener and was a member of the Konnoak Hills Garden Club for many years. Her husband of 52 years, Frank Lutz Kimball; four brothers, Ashley, Arthur, Jr., J. Van and David and three sisters, Betty Sump, Geneva Fox and Emily Lucas preceded her in death. Surviving is Mrs. Kimball's daughter, Susan Walsworth and her husband, Bob of Lexington; one sister, Hilda Shoaf of Winston-Salem; one grandchild, Christi Sharpe of Winston-Salem and two step grandchildren, Brooke Dahl and Brian Walsworth. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Donald Murray officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Lucille S. Kimball Memorial Fund at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3205 South Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the wonderful staff at The Oaks at Forsyth and Hospice for their loving care shown to Mrs. Kimball.
