Lucile Lasley Hester

BELEWS CREEK - Mrs. Lucile Lasley Hester, 95, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at her home. Lucile was born on August 29, 1919 in Forsyth County to Junius Walter and Eva Dwiggins Lasley. She was a faithful member of Antioch United Methodist Church of Belews Creek and Antioch United Methodist Women. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and wonderful grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Hester, Jr.; one brother, Ray Lasley; one sister, Peggy Burr; a grandson, Chase Hester; and a great grandson, Eli Hester.
Surviving are four sons, Wayne Hester (Jane), Donald Hester (Judy), Raymond Hester (Joan) and James Hester (Sheila); 8 grandchildren, Doug Hester (Robin), Kim Gullion, Donald Ray Hester (Jenifer), Curtis Hester (Mandy), Daron Hester (Jenny), Shannon Tedder (David), Tracy Enscore (Johnny) and Jamie Hester; 23 great grandchildren; two sisters, Alline Hester (William) and Polly Whicker; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Antioch United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Church Fellowship Hall. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
