Lucia Squarcette Shelton, 56, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born November 24, 1952 to Joseph and Ella Mae Smith Squarcette in Morgantown, W. VA. Mrs. Shelton was a member of the Ladies Auxillary at Bowman Gray Stadium. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, baking, and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. Preceding her in death was her father and a brother, Joseph Squarcette, Jr. Surviving is her husband, Bobby ""Gene"" Shelton; daughter, Patsy Bostic; son, Tony Hall; three step-children, Lynn Shelton, Bobby Shelton, and Hope Campbell; three grandchildren, Ashton Bostic, Terry Bostic, and Gavette Galeano; five step-grandchildren; mother, Ella Mae Seago; brother, R.D. ""Don"" Smith and four sisters, Jenny Locklear, Betty Lassiter, Rosie Hunt, and Carol Seago. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Rev. Don Hackett officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
