KERNERSVILLE - Mrs. Louise ""Lou"" Reavis Sears, 89, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Lou was born on March 17, 1927 in Forsyth County to Oscar Grant and Hilda Wrights Reavis. She was an active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church for 52 years, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women and the Church Choir.

In addition to her parents, Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Early Vernon ""Honey"" Sears; and four brothers, Olin G., Norman G. James L. and John W. Reavis.

Surviving are one brother, Robert ""Jack"" B. Reavis; one sister, Mary Reavis; a sister-in-law, Wanda Reavis, all of Winston-Salem; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Will Van Wieren, III officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 1018 Piney Grove Rd, Kernersville, NC, 27284.
