Louise Newton Lubke

Mrs. Louise Newton Lubke, 87, of Lexington, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Davidson County. She was born January 7, 1925 in Silver Creek, NY to Truman Allen and Georgina Lawrence Newton. Mrs. Lubke was of the Methodist faith. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII. She enjoyed painting, reading and her pets, but most and foremost, she enjoyed caring for others. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman Earl Lubke; and a brother, Lawrence Newton. Surviving are two sons, Robbie Gilbert and Larry Gilbert, both of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Jason Gilbert and Shannon Williams; one great grandchild, Hayes Gilbert. The family will have a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 202 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
