Louise Shipley King

KING Mrs. Louise Shipley King, 89, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born October 15, 1921 in Forsyth County to Minnie Gough and Ray Saunders Shipley, Sr. Mrs. King was a member of Marshall Baptist Church for many years and attended until her health declined. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her second mother, Martha Fearrington Shipley; husband, William Aaron King and three brothers Ray S. Shipley, Jr., James S. Shipley, and David Shipley; two sisters, Thelma Gilley and Lois James. She is survived by a son, Larry G. King; a daughter, Josie King; a grandson, Aaron E. King all of Winston-Salem; four sisters, Geraldine Sticher of Danville, Lucy Phelps of Clemmons, Betty Branch and husband Neal of Mt. Airy, Frances Brandon and husband Bob of Pinnacle. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown officiated by Rev. Gary Byrum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
