Winston-Salem Mrs. Louise Blanche Fox Harris Dean, 89, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her home. She was born October 6, 1922 in Wilkes County to Rebecca Spicer and Fred R. Fox. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Dean retired from AT&T with 26 years of service and was a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward L. Dean; great-grandson, Noah Hall; sister Delois McGlamery; brother, Buster Stanley. Surviving are three daughters, Juanita Long of Winston-Salem, Janice M. Wood (Larry) of Advance, Judy Pierce (Stanley) of Clemmons; one son, Gurney Harris, Jr. of Reedy Creek; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Dallie Lambeth of Winston-Salem, Rosie Pierce of Kernersville, Sue Alexander of Winston-Salem; a sister-in-law, Margie Stanley. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons and Pastor John Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to recognize and express a special Thanks to her caregiver, Miss Lilly and to Daryl and Eddie at B&R Tire Service for going above and beyond for Mrs. Dean and the family.
