Louise Davis Carter

  Mrs. Louise Davis Carter, “Mamaw Weezie”, 89, went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on August 1, 1934, in Daleville, Virginia to the late Thomas Davis and Gladys Westmoreland Davis. Louise was a proud member of her church and loved the Lord and gospel music. She also enjoyed traveling to the beach and mountains. She was loved by many and always there to help anyone in need. Mamaw loved her babies more than anything and dedicated her life to all of us. She will always be our hero, our rock, and our inspiration. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. She is survived by four children; Benny Carter (Debora), Darlene Adkins, Perry Carter, Mark Carter (Susan), eight grandchildren; Christy Coleman (Gene), Kasey Atwood (John), Vallorie Carter, Heather Carter, Dalton Carter (Dakota), Missy, Jeremy, and Kaitlyne (Jonathon), eighteen great-grandchildren; Wesley Shinault (Brie), Aby Gillispie (Chad), Makayla, Devon, Bryson, Aiden, Mason Atwood, Sierra, Khlowie, Shaunice, Amy, Luke and Sawyer, Jacob, Tristen, Tyler, Austin, and Jordan, and four great-great-grandchildren; Lilly, Raelynne, Wrenley and Madilyn Jo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of North Carolina, https://act.alz.org>donate.  A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday October 19, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.  In loving memory of the greatest woman that has ever blessed our lives.
