Mrs. Louise Spainhour Bottoms, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2008. She was born in Stokes County May 13, 1922 to the late Rome and Devada Victoria Chandler Spainhour. Mrs. Bottoms was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Clinton Bottoms, one sister and three brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Lynn Hayes of Winston-Salem, a son, Larry Clinton Bottoms and wife Vicky of Winston-Salem, seven grandchildren, James, Samuel, Jeremy, Lauren and Tyler Bottoms and Bradley and Ashley Hayes, four great-grandchildren, Lanna, Sydney, Allen and Austin, two sisters, Gladys Richardson (Dolly) of Pilot Mountain and Ester Warden (Dook) of Belews Creek, one brother, Thurmond Spainhour (Wanda) of Walkertown and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Bottoms will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening Dec. 16, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall and again after the graveside service at Louise's home in Winston-Salem.
