Louis Roger Melton

Mr. Louis Roger Melton, 75, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1937 in Forsyth County to Haywood and Fannie Phelps Melton. Mr. Melton was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of the Living God. He was a hardworking man that loved his family, church and his Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene Melton; and four brothers, Cecil, Howard, William and Ray Phelps, Sr. Surviving are two sons, David Lee Melton and wife Crystal of Salisbury and Randy Melton of Winston-Salem; and one brother, Robert Melton and wife Bonnie of Winston-Salem. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16 at Mt. Carmel Church of the Living God with the Rev. Charlie R. Harris and Pastor David Frankenfield officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
