Louis H. Li

Louis H. Li, age 88, of Bermuda Run passed away peacefully on March 29, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Louis was born July 26, 1924 in Shanghai, China to father Wei-Xian Li & mother Jue Liu Li. He completed his undergraduate education in China during WWII. In 1948, he immigrated to the United States, furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin & Columbia University; receiving a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He then spent more than 50 years of his career with the architectural/engineering firm of Rose Beaton Rose of New York. He designed electrical systems for many buildings around New York City and was the chief electrical engineer when the AT&T Telecommunication Tower in Manhattan was built. He was preceded in death by a sister, Miranda Pao; and brothers Charlie & Housing Li. He is survived by his loving wife Katherine King, MD, a neonatologist who graduated from Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University; son, Ernest Li of Frisco, Colorado; daughter Tina Li Fiebelkorn and her husband Karl of Buffalo, NY; grandchildren Kirsten & Aaron Fiebelkorn; daughter Anna Li of Seattle, Washington; brother Xiao Da Li of Hawaii; and sisters, Margaret Lee & Maggie Fan of Sunnyvale, CA. A private memorial service for family members will be held in the chapel of Bermuda Village at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2013. The family will greet friends between 2:00-4:00 PM, following the service, in the Atrium of Bermuda Village.
