A Celebration Of A Life Well Lived
Martha LouElla Redmon
LouElla, as she loved to be called, was born on September 25, 1929 to Mr. and Mrs. Horace, and Lucy Redmon. She was stricken with Polio during the Great Polio Epidemic at age 9. She spent over a year in the children’s hospital. Not once did this stop her. LouElla attended school in Forsyth County, and graduated from Clemmons High School. She also attended Salem College for a time, and learned to teach Piano. Her love for drawing, and painting also became a part of her Artistry. Many of her paintings were sold to RJ Reynolds and also donated to Bethesda Moravian Church, where she was a faithful member.
LouElla is preceded in death by her parents, and a nephew Allen Frank Redmon. She’s survived by her faithful nephew James Redmon and a loving niece, Jane McGuinn. A great niece, and nephew, Savannah, and Joseph Redmon, and cousin, Pam Elledge. Also a host of dear friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at the graveside,10:00 AM, Sat., Aug. 7, 2021 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
LouElla drew her strength from the Lord, and was an amazing woman, and as long as was able, helped all those she could.
