Lottie Atkins Westmoreland

KERNERSVILLE - Lottie Atkins Westmoreland, 90, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Wesley Long Community Hospital. She was born March 14, 1918 in Guilford Co. to the late Jesse Will and Lillie Frazier Atkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Hubert Westmoreland; and a sister, Dorothy Atkins Shields. Surviving are her daughter, Doris Nuckles; granddaughter, Cheryl Cashion and husband Mike; grandson, Rick Nuckles and wife Monie; great-grandchildren, Ross Cashion, Cody Nuckles and wife Jessica; two sisters, Forrest Tucker and Wilma Farrington. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Hayworth Miller Cain Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville with the Rev. Cordell McCollum and the Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Palliative Care Unit of Wesley Long Hospital, 501 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27401. The family would like to thank the staff for all their wonderful care and support.
