Lorraine Frances Boose

Lorraine Frances Boose, 53 of Winston-Salem lost her long battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born July 26, 1960 in Winston-Salem, the daughter of the late, Thomas Reed and Billie Flippin Boose. Lorraine was a 1979 graduate of Fairmont West High School in Kettering, Ohio. She was an Optical Technician at Lens Crafters at Hanes Mall. Survivors include one brother, Thomas Wesley Boose (Marlene); one nephew, Michael Anthony Boose; one uncle, Richard Flippin (Alice); one niece and sponsored student from South America, Giselle Dayanna Laiton; and her faithful companions, her dog Darla and her two cats, Mollie and Gypsy. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 am at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Brother Jerry Nelson, Brother Jim Thompson and Mr. Charles Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
